Fernand Gobet is one of the world’s leading authorities on the psychology of expertise. He is Professor of Decision Making and Expertise at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom), where he is conducting research on expertise, learning, memory and language acquisition. Before becoming a scientist, he was a chess player and played numerous times for the Swiss national team, including in the Chess Olympiads and the World Team Championship.
